Buenos Aires, October 2025 – In Argentina, the land of beef, the first edition of the World Meat Championship – CMDC® has concluded successfully, crowning the best Striploins and Ribeyes of the competition.

This historic event—organized by Dr. Luis Barcos, creator and Director of the Argentine Meat Sommelier School, together with AmeriCarne magazine and Messe Frankfurt Argentina—brought together leading international meat-quality experts to recognize tenderness, juiciness, and flavor.

On October 30, the World Meat Championship – CMDC® will take place, an event that will award the best Striploins and Ribeyes at a global level. The jury will include Meat Sommeliers, consumers, experts, as well as renowned national and international chefs.

The first edition of the World Meat Championship–CMDC® is now underway, marking the launch of the first international competition that recognizes the best meat cuts globally.

The CMDC® is an international competition that aims to identify the best Striploins and Ribeyes in the world, as well as highlight the producers behind them. The event seeks to promote excellence in meat production, connect the entire value chain, and foster global recognition of meat as a key component in consumer diets.

Renowned worldwide for the quality of its beef, Argentina will host the inaugural World Meat Championship (CMDC®).
On October 30, 2025, at El Central restaurant in La Rural, Buenos Aires, the world’s best cuts of meat will be crowned.
