Buenos Aires, Argentina — As part of its second edition, the World Meat Championship – CMDC® introduces the Quality Week, a new phase of the competition that will take place from September 11 to 13, 2026, at renowned steakhouses and hotels across Argentina.

Following the success of the 2025 edition, this initiative expands the scope of the championship by incorporating leading gastronomic venues into the evaluation process, adding a new dimension to the assessment of the meat samples.
During these days, more than 20 selected restaurants will host the judging sessions, where experts, chefs, and meat specialists will evaluate the samples under a strict, anonymous, and standardized technical protocol, ensuring consistency and reliability throughout the evaluation process.
Participating venues include some of Argentina’s most renowned restaurants, such as Manso, Elena, Madre Rojas, Corte Restaurante, Viejo Patrón Restaurante, Furia Puro Fuego (Mar del Plata), Berria – Sagardi, Volver (Ushuaia), Gaucha, El Fogón
(Mendoza – Bodega Lagarde), El Baqueano (Salta), CAUCE, Restaurante La Amistad, Lo de Jesús, Pobre Luis, Mako Fuegos y Vino, Casa Mandinga, Michel Rolland Grill & Wine, Happening, among others. Together, they form a nationwide network that reflects the diversity and excellence of Argentina’s meat-focused gastronomy.
The Quality Week adds an additional layer of validation to the CMDC® evaluation process by incorporating sensory experience in top-level gastronomic environments. This broadens the scope of the analysis while reinforcing confidence in the competition’s results.
The final stage of the World Meat Championship – CMDC® will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at El Central Restaurant, located at La Rural Trade Center in Buenos Aires, where the winners of this year’s competition will be announced.
A platform for analysis and a global perspective
As another innovation for the 2026 edition, CMDC® will feature expert panel discussions during the intervals between judging sessions. These panels will bring together specialists from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Ireland, and Austria, who will share their perspectives on meat quality in their respective countries, providing an international outlook on the industry’s challenges and opportunities.
With these new initiatives, CMDC® 2026 continues to strengthen an evaluation model that combines technical expertise, epractical xperience, and a global perspective, creating value across the entire meat industry chain.
